Most Of my friends who are visiting this blog calls me and ask me – where do you get these fruits ? Are You a Fruitarian ? I really Appreciate those friends taking interest in eating healthy diet and my answer to their question is –Some Fruit are not available in india , Mainly it is found outside Asia ,And of course , I am not a Fruitarian ,I suggest instead of taking a multivitamin tablet, it is better to eat fruits daily, Your comments are always welcome in my inbox dailyonefruit@gmail.com. ( Mulam pazham ) Muskmelon,Basil seeds,sev,milk are the essential ingredient in making Muskmelon Falooda.Sabja Seeds contain vitamin A,vitamin K, protein,iron,beta carotene and minerals like potassium, manganese, copper, calcium, folate, magnesium.Sabja Seeds also known as Basil Seeds has some medicinal value such as help in weight reducing,treat stomach disorder, protect from skin inflammations cure sore throats,avoid constipation and reduce stress.

Muskmelon is a Powerful Antioxidant that also maintain avoid colon cancer,improve digestion,avoid Heart problems,improve Kidney Health.

It is important to know that one glass serving of falooda contains calories of about 217, 12.6g fat ,21.3g carbohydrate and 5.9g of protein.

Basil Seeds can be used to prepare other Falooda Recipes like Banana Falooda,Mango Falooda,Musk Falooda,Apple Falooda,Rose Falooda,kulfi Falooda.

How to Prepare Musk Melon Falooda

Ingredient:

Basil seeds - 2 tbsp
Falooda sev - 1 tbsp
Milk - 1 cup
Sugar - 4 tablespoons ( chilled thick sweet milk )
Mulam pazham / Musk Melon puree - 1/2 cup
Mulam pazham / Musk Melon pieces - ½ cup chopped

Add sev to the boiling water,wait until sev cooks well.mango falooda4Once sev gets cooked  ,drain sev and cool it aside ,let it cool for 10 min.  Meanwhile soak Basil seeds for 30 minutes. Once  Basil seeds gets ready Make musk melon Puree .falooda 2Add 4 tbsp musk melon puree in the serving bowl then add chilled milk and 1/2 tbsp Basil seeds.Mulam pazham juice or musk melon juiceAdd cooked sev 4 tbsp over it. Repeat this for making 3 layer(puree next milk next basil seeds next cooked sev)Mulam pazham juice or musk melon juice1Add some Musk Melon Puree and chopped Musk Melon pieces as topping.   • To make Muskmelon puree  just grind musk melon fruit with normal water.

  • Use Boiled Milk and Milk must be thick.

  • Crushed Nuts as topings shall be added to improve the calories.

Fruits Combination Chart:
There are 4 category in fruits list–depending on different enzymes and different time taken to digest .Acid fruits, Sub Acid Fruits, Sweet fruits  and Melon .

Digestion Time:

Melons – 30-60 minutes

Sweet fruit -40 to 60 minutes

Acid fruit – 20 to 30 minutes.

Sub acid -30 to 40 minutes

Melons:Watermelon, honeydew, canary melon, Crenshaw melon comes under melon. Watermelon are said to have high water content and should always be eaten away from mealtime and alone .Melons should not be consumed with any other foods because they decompose/digested quickly in the digestive system.

Acid Fruits:Cherries, strawberries, orange, lemon, pineapple, kiwi, grapefruit, pomegranate are Considered to be Acid Fruits. Acid fruits can be easily digested and produce no distress when eaten alone or when eaten with sub acid fruits. When Acid fruits is intake with sweet fruits then bloating occurs in our body. Acid Fruits contains fiber and are rich in antioxidants.  Approximate digestion time for acid fruit takes around 20 to 30 minutes.

Sub acid: Peaches, Apples, Grapes, Mangoes, Lynches, Apricots, Pears are said to be Sub Acid fruits .digestion time of Sub acid fruits varies up to 30 to 40 minutes
