What is Cholesterol? Cholesterol is said to be a waxy substance which is produced in the body by the liver.Cholesterol is carried in the blood with proteins called lipoproteins.These Lipoproteins are of two main forms,  (LDL )low density lipoprotein and (HDL)high density lipoprotein.

Too much of LDL cholesterol is unhealthy so it is referred to as bad cholesterol. HDL is often referred to as good cholesterol because it is healthy to our body. Guava being very rich in fiber and hypoglycemic in nature, helps reducing blood pressure. Consumption of guava fruit can cause a substantial reduction in Blood Pressure, blood lipids and decrease in HDL-cholesterol due to its higher potassium and soluble fiber content.
