Emu Apple Fruit is scientifically called as  Kunzea pomifera .

ORIGIN OF EMU APPLE
Kunzea is a genus of plants in the family Myrtaceae and is endemic to Australasia.
Muntries grows in Victoria and South Australia. In Victoria it grows mainly in sandy soil in the Little Desert and Big Desert and small populations between Portland and Nelson.

APPEARANCE OF EMU APPLE
The fruit is fleshy, more or less spherical, 8–12 mm (0.3–0.5 in) in diameter, deep red to purple or black when mature.
The best part of the plant being the fruit emu apple is a small structured fruit that appears to be purplish red in colour with paler speckles on its ends.
This fruit grows to the size of 2-4 cm wide and also bears a large stone like seed in the middle of the pulp.
This fruit appears to be like a ball shaped figure and the tree is majorly found in Eastern regions of Australia.

They are a low growing shrub with hairy stems that produce small green berries tinged with red, often described as having the flavour of a spicy apple, hence the name.
