I had a chance to taste Masala milk during a train travel to Pune for the first time ,wonderful drink with less spicy and awesome smell .Masala paal/milk is purely a south Indian recipe remedy for a indigestion and stomach problem. when ever i feel lazy and tired i used to go for a masala milk to boost my activity,spiciness in the milk will refresh my thoughts. Pista,almond,cashew would increase the taste of masala milk.
The more you add nuts the more you get a better taste. To avoid more spicy , i have wrapped cloves ,Cinnamon,Cardamom,pepper in a piece of white cloth. Preparation of homemade masala milk recipe will take about 10 min.It is a excellent recipe and good spicy treat for all age.
How to prepare Masala Milk at home
Ingredients
- Milk – 2 cups
- Sugar – 5 tbsp
- Cinnamon – 3
- Cloves – 3
- Cardamom – 3
- pepper – 3
- Almonds – 6
- Cashews – 5
- Pistachios – 5
- Saffron strands – a few
- turmeric powder- a pinch (optional)
How to prepare Masala Milk at home
Take 2 cup of milk and boil the milk for about 2 min.To avoid more spicy , i have wrapped cloves ,Cinnamon,Cardamom,pepper in a piece of white cloth.Place the wrapped spices to the boiling milk and heat in low flame for about 10 min .smash the Nuts Almond,Cashew, pista and add these to the boiling milk . Finally add sugar to the milk.Remove the spices inside the wrapped cloth from milk before serving.Serve it hot for a best result.
Note:
if you want soak the nuts in water for 1 to 2 hours before preparing. Soak nuts will be easier to crush.
Add saffron as topping to masala milk.
You can also serve it cool (place the masala milk in the refrigerator for 30 min before serving ).
Adding pepper to Hot masala milk shall cure cold .
Take the milk thick so that it will be a health drink for kids.
