Origin of Langsat
Lansium parasiticum, commonly known in English as Duku Fruit, langsat, or lanzones, is a species of tree in the Mahogany family with commercially cultivated edible fruits. Langsat originated in the Southeast Asian regions.
Langsat grows in clusters and is widely cultivated in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Sumatra. In India, it grows in the southern hills of Nilgiri from April to September.

The Langsat fruit can be elliptical, ovoid, or round, measuring 2 to 7 centimeters (0.79 to 2.76 in) by 1.5 to 5 centimeters (0.59 to 1.97 in) in size.
Langsat Fruits look much like small potatoes and are borne in clusters similar to grapes.
Outer peel is Dull green ripening to yellow, golden yellow, or pale orangey-yellow and the inner flesh is with seeds are covered with a thick translucent-white, that tastes sweet and sour.
